Our Mission for Gethsemane de Meube School
The mission of ‘Gethsemane de Meube’ school is to offer a firm social, academic and spiritual foundation for sustainable development in this community, beginning with its students and their parents. We seek to do this in a manner that is culturally appropriate. The school’s name “Gethsemane de Meube” alludes to the ancient name of the Meube clan that settled Boudamasa, and still governs it.

Our curriculum is compliant with Chad’s national standards and taught by a staff chosen for their passion for this ministry. They are personally invested in the success and well-being of their students.
Because we believe in the riches of local indigenous wisdom the school’s academic program includes a class in Bagirmi language, history
Boudamasa is primarily an agricultural community in one of the most threatened ecosystems in the world. The school’s Saturday program includes hands-on training in sustainable gardening and agro-forestry from the youngest grades on.
Because the town of Boudamasa includes both Muslims and Christians, the school teaches a course on the “History of the Prophets” as well as other Biblical Studies in the Middle School level classes.
